Prometheus panel at WonderCon 2012

Comic and pop culture convention WonderCon has announced its schedule for this year's convention, including a panel hosted by Twentieth Century Fox and "some very special guests".

According to the programme, Fox will be presenting an exclusive look at some of the most anticipated events of the summer. There's no doubt that one of these anticipated events includes Prometheus, and will most likely include a little sneak peek.

The convention runs March 16th-18th at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, and the Fox panel takes place on the Saturday at 1.15pm-2:15pm.

In addition there's a panel on the Friday titled "It Was 30 Years Ago Today: Celebrating 1982 -- Greatest Geek Year Ever!" which will also take a look at this year's geek movies, including Prometheus.

The price isn't too bad either, $40 for the 3 days or $20 for the Friday or Saturday if you book online.

  1. Since Childhood Peter Weyland has been fascinated by his mother studies on Mythology.
As an adult, while making Weyland industries more powerful day after day, Peter Weyland continued to pursue his mother work investing millions in archeological researches all over the globe.
But Weyland theological hunt was not a altruist one, convinced that the gods of our mythology and religions were based on actual beings with mindblowing technology he was ready to do anything to make their knowlegde his.

In the middle of the century a shattering discovery finally gave the ultimate proof that Peter Weyland was looking for.
Eons ago an alien race of godlike titans visited Earth, leaving coordinates to their homeworld.
Very old but yet very ressourcefull, thanks to his genetic & cybernetic implants, Peter Weyland commanded the launch of an expedition toward the planet. With his most famous creation at his side, David the first artificial human, Peter Weyland joined the crew of the interstellar spaceship Prometheus,

The Prometheus landed on the alien homeworld, after a few days and some cryptic mission reports, it was never heard of again. Only a few of these mission reports were made public by Weyland industries but they were highly redacted.
It is believed that they were actually hiding the whole truth about what happened to their chairman and the Prometheus' crew.
Journalists received leaks from "deepthroats" within Weyland industries, but the powerful company made sure that those articles never made the headlines.

The most vocal journalist, William Crowder created Prometheusrevealed.org, a entity dedicated to expose the suposed truth about the spaceship's fate. Based on the insiders leaks, his theory was that the Prometheus crew had dicovered an alien construction, some sort of temple dedicated to an extinct alien race of super scientist called "Engineers", titan humanoid creatures that may have planted the seed of life on our own Earth and that some technology had been uncovered.

But some go further than Crowder saying that actual contact with the alien race took place and that the Prometheus mission was jeopardized by Peter Weland himself. His quest for knowledge led him to experiment with the alien technology on himself and his own crew with horribles consequences. That he also went on a full battle against the alien race and part of his own crew.

The last transmission received was an exchange between science officer Elizabeth Shaw and Cpt Janek
Shaw : "He's insane, he's taking off to Earth! We gotta do something!!!"
Janek : "Never liked the Bastard! Trust me he's not going anywhere Liz!"

    2. You are ridiculous man.
Whats the problem with people posting theories of possible leaks. This make quite some sense if you have been watching all the clues closely.
My gawd when the movie will be released lot of those who pissed over some of the info leaked here and here or potential story will have to shut up.
      What a relief.
